Lets talk about some inexpensive but very helpful ways to make your home standout

  1. Update Outdoor Lighting

An easy way to enhance interest to an outdoor space is to update your lighting fixtures with new ones. There are many options on the market in a wide array of designs, colors, and sizes. Most are easily affordable and you will be surprised at what a few dollars can do to the overall look of your outdoor space.

  1. Keep Your Lawn in Great Shape

A freshly trimmed lawn is necessary to boosting your curb appeal. Mowing your lawn on a weekly basis will allow it to grow enough between mows so you don’t damage the grass. Make sure to also allow time for edging and cleaning up any clippings before your house is shown to buyers.

  1. Those Little Things That Need Fixing Make a Difference

Evaluate your front porch to find any small issues that have been undetected for years. Fix small things like a cracked window, damaged screen, damaged mailbox, or replace burned out lights. These small repairs can make a difference in an offer for your home.

  1. Add Some Plants and Flowers

Purchase some beautiful flowers from the garden center and plant them in pots near to the front door. Bright colored flowers will add a nice touch to the space and create a welcoming feel to your home.

  1. Trim Up Shrubbery

Trim up bushes and plants. All you need is a little elbow grease to freshen up your landscaping. Trim landscaping shrubs into nice clean shapes and give every plant enough space to spreadout while still being a part of the overall landscaping picture.

  1. Paint It Now

You probably have leftover paint. Don't we all? Use this to touch up your house, of if needed apply a fresh coat of paint. Consider items like windows, garage doors, or outside trim that's seen a few years of weather.

  1. Power Wash To Get Stubborn Dirt and Mold Away

You will be amazed by the volume of dirt power washing can remove from your home. It's a good and affordable way to add curb appeal to your house. Also consider borrowing one from a beighbor to save money. Be sure to check your home all over as well as gutters, patios, sidewalks, and outdoor furniture.

  1. Add Some Bark Mulch

Get some mulch at a garden center to add instant curb appeal to your landscaping. Mulch not only looks great but it adds essential moisture control to help plants to retain water. It also keeps weeds down. Just add a few inches of mulch around trees and gardens and it will improve the overall look of your home.

There are many methods to increase your home’s curb appeal without spending a ton of money. Doing any of these things can help enhance your home’s resale value.
